Stampin' Friends are Fun Friends!

August is back to school month, including hot days that are good for working inside days, and great days to spend with friends creating some fun new card designs! Yesterday, I spent a wonderful afternoon in the home of my friend Deb Mathewson. I met her through my Stampin' Up! website/online store, soon after she and her husband moved to Franklin from Florida. We get together a couple of times a month, exchanging card designs and techniques. Deb is a great card designer and it is great to have someone to talk over design ideas and discuss the latest catalogs and online exclusive products offered, plus she joined my team!

The Cheerful Daisies Bundle, some Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and Stampin' Pad inks combined to create a bright and cheery birthday card seen on the left. We used a watercolor technique to create the daisies, placing them on the complementary color of Daffodil Delight designer series paper in a bridge card design. Turned out amazing!

The card on the right was a play on Circle Saying Bundle and some bright , fun designs of designer series paper. A little coloring on the cupcake using Stampin' Blends alcohol markers made quick work of the focal image on the front of the card. A bow in Misty Moonlight jute twine as an embellishment finished off the design in a cute style. It shows off Deb's keen design sense and a good card to reproduce in a stack for all those birthdays coming up on our calendars!

We also discussed the ease of putting together the kits produced by Stampin' Up!, and available on my online store. Plus, many of the kits are on sale up to 30% off through the end of August! You might wonder what kits are and why are they so great!? The kits are all-inclusive stamping and non-stamping products, placed in a box that will be shipped right to your door. They are simple, easy to put together and all you need is a pair of scissors. Once you complete the kit, you will have completed 8 or more cards, envelopes, or treat boxes, ready to give to our friends, family or party attendees. You can choose from many different themes from Get Well cards, Birthday cards, All Occasion cards, Thinking of You and Thank You cards and even party treat boxes. So go on over to the online store and check out the many different kits available. For the rest of this month, please use Host Code HMJ63KWV and earn a pack of free embellishments sent to you by me as a thank you for ordering 50.00 or more from my site. Text or message me for questions you may have in ordering and putting your kits together. It would be fun to gather a couple or three friends at your house to put some kits together, and we can gather via a zoom since I am not close for many of you. Just let me know if you would like to do this! Meanwhile, a video will be posted soon, demonstrating the ease of putting a kit together. Remember- Stampin' Friends are Fun Friends!
