Fishin' Season

My apologies for my absence from the blog in recent weeks! It has been prime fishing time with trout stocked rivers in Western North Carolina. And since I began helping fishermen get their trucks and trailers down the river in our area, I have been snowed under doing that. Not to intentionally put my stamping business on the back burner... it just quickly happened that way. My mornings begin early- at sun up, receiving texts and calls from fishermen putting in their requests for moving their truck and trailer from the put-in to the take-out. (If you have fly fished, you probably know the routine. If you don't understand, it's totally okay. ) And I don't get finished until hours later, leaving little time for home base duties. And helping the guides and fishermen a big deal, being the home of the North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail. Honestly though, I am ready to get back into this new catalog that debuted May 3. New stamp sets are calling my name, I'm sure they are calling yours as well. And what do you know- there is a trout fishing stamp set, bundle and suite in our new Annual Catalog on pages 78-79 called "Let's Go Fishing". And its a good one for Father's Day, coming up soon. While I am waiting on mine to arrive, there are a few other stamp sets I will be showing off. So look ahead for cards from new stamp sets in the coming days.

Before I leave, I really need to share a couple of photos taken this past Sunday, Mother's Day. My son Dale, treated me to a float trip down the Tuckaseegee River in Bryson City, NC. It was the first time I had been in a raft on the river. Plus, I got to fly fish under his guide and coaching. It was a gray day, with a fairly cool breeze out on the water. But he guided me right into a pair of trophy Rainbow trout! I set the hook and carefully brought them in, so he could net them. Turns out, one was 21" and the other 19"! I named them Floyd and Raymond respectively. I even talked to the beautiful hunks I pulled in. Some fishermen/women fish for a lifetime and never catch the likes of what I did last Sunday. I am grateful and now, I am hooked on fly fishing. Enjoy the pictures and grab a Let's Go Fishing stamp set, bundle or suite in my online store, and be ready to follow along with me in a few days. Meanwhile, enjoy my trout pictures! Thanks for stopping by!
